Well, I started to late last night with the book and only got into the second chapter, but I was already intrigue by the authors faith. His faith in the Lord is strong. My desire is for my faith to grow through his inspiration and story.

Look out housework, here I come......I want to read this book, but can't until the housework is done.

POUR ME ANOTHER CUP OF JAVA !!!!!!

Blessing to you today,

Faith Like Potatoes

Anxiously awaiting the first meeting with the new found womans group and arrival of the mystery book.
While I patiently await it's arrival I decided I couldn't wait to read a book. I have had a book that a friend loaned me a while back and I think I will start it tonight. The book is "Faith like Potatoes" by Angus Buchan with Jan Greenough and Val Waldeck. The book is the story of a farmer who risked everything for God.
The cover states "Angus Buchan is a tough, straightforward South African farmer of Scottish extraction, whose gentle but uncompromising faith has carried him through drought, financial crisis and family tragedy. Called by god to preach the gospel, he has found the Holy Spirit working through him in amazing miracles of provision, healing and changed lives." The gentleman sounds like a lot of men or families I know of right here in the heart lands. Financial crisis, family tragedies and drought. Drought in our lives and drought in our lands. Drought in our lives because our cups aren't overflowing with faith.
If you have read this book, please feel free to post your thoughts.
Time for that Cup of Java and a Good Book,
Blessing to you,
Melody

Hello !!!!!

The other day a friend of mine asked me if I would like to be a part of group of ladies that would be reading a book and blogging about it. I of course said YES !!! I'm not sure what the book is going to be, but no matter, I can't wait to get started. I have a new found love to read (when I have time), love to blog and love to fellowship with other Christain women. What more could I ask for..... oh yeah, a good cup of Java by my side. Some days I think that cup of java is my security blanket. :) Doesn't seem like I get very far without that cup....

Look forward to meeting the ladies in the group.

Blessings,

Melody
